Entrance interview with client to gather facility information about the property, its occupants, type of activities, and identify other persons to be interviewed (i.e., property manager, employees, and contracted service providers.)
Conduct research, gather data and documentation in preparation for the site visit (i.e., crime statistics, neighborhood demographics, floor plans/blueprints, local ordinances.)
Several site visits, walking throughout the property recording all observations, interviews during the day depending on facility’s size and activities, and at night to include an informal lighting survey.
Identify positive findings in compliance with CPTED standards and findings needing improvement.
Exit interview with client to identify initial findings, questions, or clarifications.
The CPTED Assessment Report contains detailed comprehensive information, pictures, and documentation is presented within 30 days or less from the exit interview.
