Thurston & Son’s Security Consultants provides specialized security consulting, Physical Security Risk Assessments (PSRA), and CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) evaluations.
Our services are advisory in nature.
We provide recommendations based on Florida Statute 768.0706 and FCPTI guidelines to help clients achieve statutory compliance and improve safety.
While our goal is to significantly reduce the risk of criminal activity and enhance legal protections, security is never absolute. * The client acknowledges that criminal behavior is unpredictable.
Thurston & Son’s does not guarantee, warrant, or insure that our recommendations will prevent all criminal acts, losses, or liabilities.
Implementation of our recommendations is the sole responsibility of the property owner/client.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Thurston & Son’s Security Consultants, its officers (including Ron Thurston), and employees shall not be liable for:
Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from a security breach at a client's property.
Losses or injuries occurring after an assessment has been delivered.
Claims arising from a client's failure to maintain the security standards or training protocols recommended in our reports.
Ron Thurston operates as a certified Florida Crime Prevention Practitioner (FCP) and Florida Crime Prevention Professional (FCPP). These designations signify specialized training through the Florida Attorney General’s Office but do not constitute a legal or insurance-grade guarantee of immunity.
For an accurate assessment, the client must:
Provide truthful and complete information regarding property history and existing security measures.
Grant safe access to all areas of the premises required for the survey.
Maintain the equipment (cameras, lighting, locks) according to the standards outlined in our reports to ensure ongoing compliance with F§ 768.0706.

Security assessment reports are highly sensitive documents. Thurston & Son’s will maintain the confidentiality of these reports; however, the client is responsible for the secure storage and restricted distribution of the final report to prevent it from falling into the hands of unauthorized parties.
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any disputes arising shall be handled in the courts of Broward County, FL.
